Nobody was home late Sunday night when a fire broke out in the William and Patricia Garman residence, 650 W. Eagle St., Warsaw. A neighbor reported the fire at 10:53 p.m. and Warsaw Fire Department crews were on the scene for more than two hours working to extinguish the blaze. An area of the house rekindled this morning and firefighters returned about 6:45 a.m. today. WFD officials said the fire is believed to have started in the basement and involved a liquid propane tank. Damage to the home and contents is estimated at $170,000.
