Duke Energy Gives To Honeywell ProgramThe Honeywell Foundation Educational Outreach Program, beginning its 21st year, provides arts-in-education opportunities to students in preschool through 12th grade. During the 2017-18 school year, the program served 14 counties in Northeast Indiana with more than 48,000 student interactions. Since 2002, Duke Energy has been a partner for the program. Duke Energy funding helps bring EOP to Cass, Fulton, Grant, Howard, Huntington, Kosciusko, Miami, Wabash and Whitley county school systems. “There are a lot of budget demands on schools today, and the Honeywell Center program brings arts experiences to education that might not otherwise happen,” said Kevin Johnston, Duke Energy government and community relations manager. “We are glad to help make that happen.” The Duke Energy Foundation provides philanthropic support to address the needs of the communities where its customers live and work. The foundation provided approximately $2 million in charitable gifts to Indiana organizations in 2017. Pictured are Ellen Mock, Honeywell Foundation corporate relations manager, and Johnston.
