Fourteen of nearly two dozen active drug-related warrants were served this morning after four months of investigation by the Kosciusko County Special Operations Team and the Whitley and Marshall county drug task forces.
Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine praised the work of the drug team, which recently added another full-time member thanks to a federal grant.
Officers from several local police agencies, as well as Indiana State Police, fanned out across the county beginning at about 5 a.m. today to round up suspects from the drug investigations.
Arrested in this morning's drug raid and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail were:
• Juan Pame Olivo, 22, of 884 Caleb Court, Warsaw, charged with two counts each of dealing in marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony, and possession of marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony. Bond: $2,000.
• Christopher M. Wallace, 22, of 1714 Springhill Road, Warsaw, charged with dealing marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony, and possession of marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony. Although the warrant was served on Wallace, he was not booked into the jail due to health concerns. Bond: $2,000.
• Ronald Wayne Harris Jr., 22, of 8280 U.S. 30E #36, Pierceton, charged with dealing in marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony, and possession of marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony. Bond: $2,000.
• Chad Shumaker, 17, no address given, charged with dealing in marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor. No bond was set.
• William A. Landis, 34, of 1704 N. Lakeview Blvd., Warsaw, charged with dealing in marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond: $20,000.
• Matthew Richard Hatfield, 21, of 506 W. Main St., Warsaw, charged with dealing in marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond: $15,000.
• Dawn Rivera, 23, of 3699 N. CR 175E #169, Warsaw, charged with dealing in marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony. Bond: $2,000.
• Julie Ann Webb, 40, of 1421 E. Jefferson St., Warsaw, charged with dealing in marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond: $20,000.
• Brittney Suzzanne Vervaet, 23, of 547 Clinic Court, Warsaw, charged with dealing in marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony, and possession of marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony. Bond: $16,000.
• Ty R. Shepler, 31, of 625 Logan St., Warsaw, charged with operating with a controlled substance, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond: $500.
• Samuel David Stidams, 19, of 5877 N. First St., Leesburg, charged with dealing in marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony. Bond: $2,000.
• Ronald Allen Tackitt, 37, of 9593 E. CR 600N, North Webster, charged with dealing in cocaine/more than 3 grams, a Class A felony. Bond: $20,000.
• Mathew A. Stidams, 17 of 5877 N. First St., Leesburg, charged with dealing in marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony. No bond was set.
• Melissa G. Christian, 29, of 8280 U.S. 30E #103, Pierceton, charged with two counts each of dealing in cocaine, a Class B felony, and possession of cocaine, a Class D felony. Bond: $50,000.
Warrants remain outstanding on the following people:
• Tracey Baughter, 32, of 4271 S. Mallard Road, Mentone, charged with dealing in cocaine/less than 3 grams, a Class B felony, and possession of cocaine/less than 3 grams, a Class D felony. Bond: $10,000.
• Glenn R. Robbins Jr., 37, of 3942 U.S. 30E, Pierceton, charged with dealing in marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond: $20,000.
• Jamie A. White, 22, of 224 E. Market St., Pierceton, charged with dealing in marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond: $20,000.
• James Kevin O'Connell, 38,of 1003 S. Union St., Warsaw, charged with dealing in marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana/less than 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond: $15,000.
• Amanda G. Nine, 38, of 6898 E. May St., Leesburg, charged with two counts each of dealing in marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony, and possession of marijuana/more than 30 grams, a Class D felony. Bond: $2,000.
• Debbie Lynn Cumberland, 39, of 427 E. CR 1150N #20, charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Class C felony, and possession of LSD, a Class C felony. Bond: $5,000.
• Henry Ford, 38, of 1120 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, charged with possession of cocaine, a Class C felony. Bond: $5,000.
• Martin Clemans, 32, of 8280 U.S. 30E #103, Pierceton, charged with dealing in marijuana, a Class D felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class D felony. Bond: $16,000.
According to a press release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, today's activities represent "a continuing effort to help control the drug problem in Kosciusko County." More arrests are expected.
Also assisting this morning were representatives of the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office and the Kosciusko County Welfare Department.
