Emergency personnel tend to Eugene Jack Sleezer III, 24, of Garrett, after the car he was driving collided with a pickup and flipped onto its top. Sleezer suffered head injuries in the 3:40 p.m. accident at the intersection of CRs 450N and 250E, near Leesburg. He was admitted to Kosciusko Community Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition this morning. Also injured were passengers in Sleezer's car, Jean L. Stengel, 47, Warsaw, who suffered bleeding to her head, and Wanda Simpson, 21, Garrett, who complained of knee pain. Both were treated at KCH and released. According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, Sleezer was southbound on CR 250E when he stopped at the intersection with CR 450N. He then reportedly pulled into the intersection and into the path of a westbound pickup driven by Ronald J. Fisher, 35, Milford. Police said Fisher couldn't avoid the collision.Sleezer was cited for driving without a license. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
