The drivers of these vehicles suffered only minor injuries when the pickup struck the car from behind and ended up on top of it. The driver of the car, Margaret M. Boyer, 84, of East Circle Drive South, Syracuse, waited patiently inside her car with her dog while emergency personnel worked to get the pickup off of her car. Boyer suffered an abrasion to her elbow and refused medical attention. According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, Boyer was northbound on Ind. 13 when she drove under the rear of a northbound pickup driven by John E. Shock, 46, East CR 900N, Syracuse. Shock was stopped on the highway waiting to make a left turn. Shock complained of neck pain and refused medical attention. The accident occurred at 10:20 a.m. north of the intersection with Syracuse/Webster Road, near North Webster. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
