ATWOOD -ÊAn Etna Green woman was upgraded from serious to fair condition at Parkview Hospital today after a one-car accident early Saturday morning.
Andrea Semonis, 25, of 319 N. Walnut St., Etna Green, was driving a white 1994 Ford Taurus Wagon around 1 a.m. Saturday when she lost control of the vehicle on Old Road 30 near CR 650W, Atwood, hitting several trees. Semonis had to be extricated from the car and was airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, by the Samaritan Air Ambulance.
Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department officials believe Semonis' car left the northern edge of the roadway, lost control and crossed Old Road 30. The car then struck four trees on the southern edge of the road.
The Atwood Fire Department, Etna Green Fire Department, Warsaw Fire Department, Multi-Township EMS and Samaritan Air Ambulance assisted the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department at the scene.
