Driverless Truck Strikes Two Vehicles

Posted
Silver Lake – A driverless vehicle caused a three vehicle incident Sunday afternoon in Silver Lake.
Travis J. Pollard, Wilson Ave., Silver Lake, parked at the McClure gas station to get gas and left his vehicle, a red 1992 Chevy S10, running. When he left the gas station he thought his S10 had been stolen.
The S10, which had not been fully placed in park, had in fact rolled to the northwest, striking a 2013 Mercedes Solera motorhome registered to GMT Auto Sales of O’Fallon, Mo., which was parked at a fuel pump with the unnamed driver starting to pump fuel. The S10 continued rolling and struck a 2008 Ford Pickup driven by Darrell E. Carr, of Warsaw. Carr was traveling with the motorhome.
No injuries were reported and damages were estimated between $2,500 and $5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
