MILFORD -ÊA Nappanee man is dead after a one-vehicle accident early Saturday morning.
Jerald D. Null Jr., 37, of 8232 W. CR 800N, Nappanee, was driving a 1996 white Plymouth Voyager west on CR 900N near Milford around 5 a.m. Saturday when the vehicle left the north side of the road and struck a utility pole.
Null suffered head injuries from the impact of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner's office.
Kosciusko County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the accident at the intersection of CR 900N and CR 250W near Milford at 5:11 a.m. Saturday. They believe light snow and slush caused Null to lose control of his van.
The accident remains under investigation. The Milford Fire Department, Milford EMS, Syracuse EMS and the Kosciusko County Coroner's Office assisted the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department at the scene.
