Driver Hurt In Crash

The cause of an accident this morning is still unknown.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Tracy Swartz, 41, Warsaw, went off the road about 7:53 a.m. today. His vehicle struck a NIPSCO utility pole, totaling his vehicle. Investigators are not clear as to why Swartz's vehicle left the road. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. A witness was too far to be certain what happened.

The accident occurred on CR 450N, west of CR 175E, Leesburg.

Swartz was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital, where he was still unconscious at 9 a.m. today. There were no signs of physical injury. The Samaritan Air Ambulance was canceled at the scene.

Damage to Swartz's vehicle was estimated at about $5,000.
