Downtown Days in Warsaw offers a little bit of something for all ages.
A 5-K foot race, kids' games and face painting all will be a part of this year's Warsaw Downtown Days. The event will be Saturday.
"The committee has put together some really neat activities for everyone," said Stephanie Salyer, chairman for the Downtown Days events.
The event is sponsored by Warsaw Community Development Corp.
Festivities will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday with the "Race through Downtown," a 5-K foot race sponsored by the Kosciusko 21st Century Foundation Inc.
The morning also will feature Brian Strieby's High Flying BMX Acrobats exhibition, inflatable moon walks for kids, face painting and other kids' games.
Safe Assured identification kits for children and a performance by Debra Collier School of Dance also will take place.
The afternoon will feature the "Downtown Classic" professional criterium and family bike races. The bike races will run on a short downtown course.
Food vendors also will be selling food, and an art display featuring the Warsaw Community Arts Center will be available.
The evening will begin with a watermelon feast and a beverage and band tent for adults.
"This year's Downtown Days marks the beginning of a new era in events for our downtown," said Clint Pletcher, WCDC president.
"Downtown Days will be jam-packed with new and attractive features, and we hope that everyone in the county will come enjoy the event and our downtown," he said.
