Douglas Blanton Sr., 67, Pierceton, passed away at 1:23 p.m. June 7, 2012, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born June 20, 1944, in Swamp Branch, Ky., to William Martin and Lilly V. Caudill Blanton. On Nov. 6, 1972, in Warsaw, he married Debrah Hall, who survives. He was a Kosciusko County resident since 1962, and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Sidney. He was a former foundryman and worked in line production at Maple Leaf Farms, Milford. Also surviving are two sons, Douglas Blanton Jr. and Bradley J. (and spouse Amanda) Blanton, all of Pierceton; a sister, Violet Schenske, Kentucky; and five grandchildren: Samantha, Trece, Breanna, Bradley Jr. and Drake Blanton. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
