BOURBON – Douglas A. Flory, 71, Tippecanoe, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Feb. 8, 2016, at Kindred Hospital of Northern Indiana, Mishawaka. He was born Nov. 2, 1944, in Warsaw, to Arnold and Clarabel Carey Flory. He was a 1962 graduate of Tippecanoe High School and a lifelong resident of rural Tippecanoe. He was a farmer and had worked at Midwest Spring, Mentone. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spoiling all the kids in the neighborhood with candy. Surviving are three sisters: Audrey Griffis, Burket; Rose (and spouse Herschel) Walters, Bourbon; Lorraine (and spouse Tom) Devros, Jr., Tippecanoe; four brothers: Lewis (and spouse Peg), Jerry (and spouse Glenda), Doyle (and spouse Janie) and Duane (and spouse Cathy) Flory, all of Tippecanoe. He was further blessed with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clarabel, who died July 5, 2006; his father, Arnold, who died April 11, 2006; a sister, Anita Crawford; and two brothers, Marshal and Richard Flory. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Tippecanoe Cemetery.
