Dorthy Lou Ousley, 66, passed away at 9:08 p.m. Jan. 31, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born April 9, 1944 in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Albert and Lucinda Justice Compton. On Aug. 6, 1966, in Sidney, she married Wade Ousley, who survives.

She worked for Creigthon Brothers for nearly five years and Maple Leaf Farms for three years. She was also a homemaker.

She was a member of the former Church of God in Warsaw, enjoyed going for walks, reading and loved to garden and spend time with her family. She adored children and was thought of as mom to anyone she met.

Also surviving are a daughter, Christine "Christy" (and spouse Steve) Kester, Warsaw; five brothers: Billy Ray Compton, Winona Lake, Felix Compton, Munith, Mich., Everett (and spouse Sarah) Compton, Claypool, Donald (and spouse Billie) Compton, Prestonsburg, Ky. and Joe (and spouse Kathy) Compton, Warsaw; three sisters: Cora (and spouse Junior) Collins, Warsaw, Mary (and spouse Herb Cramer) Baker, Glendale, Az., and Becky (and spouse Dave) Diehl, Mentone; three grandchildren: Krista (and spouse Ben) Hohman, Milford; Stephanie (and spouse Matt) Hohman and Steven C. Kester, all of Warsaw; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Logan; She was preceded in death by a son, Darrin Ousley, who died June 25, 1983, and her parents.

Services will be at noon Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, with Pastor Glen Hughes, Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw, officiating. Burial will be at Center Cemetery, Silver Lake.
