COLUMBIA CITY - Dorothy M. Murphy, 81, of Columbia City, died at 6:16 a.m. Dec. 20, 2010, in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
She was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Kokomo, to Carl and Pearl Hyndman Boyer. On Nov. 5, 1949, in South Whitley, she married Garner E. Murphy, who died May 27, 2009.
She lived in Cromwell, then moved to Columbia City in 1994. She graduated from Larwill High School in 1947. She worked at Whitley Products, Pierceton, for five years and Weatherhead, Syracuse, for 34 years. She is a former member of South Whitley Church of God.
No services or calling are planned. Burial will be private.
