Dorothy M. Armstrong Althouse

MARION – Dorothy M. Armstrong Althouse, 89, Warsaw, died at 2:55 p.m. Oct. 28, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
She was born April 1, 1924, in Hartford City, to Floyd and Mildred Bishop Armstrong. On April 16, 1946, she married Walter “Soup” Althouse, who survives.
She was a 1943 graduate of Marion High School. She formerly worked as a secretary for the City of Marion in the engineering department. She enjoyed swimming and solving crossword puzzles. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons: John H. (and spouse Linda) Althouse, Peru; Steven F. (and spouse Susan) Althouse, Jonesboro; Keith A. Althouse, Rochester;                  grandchildren: Lisa, Steve, Lori, Kerri, Brian, Eric, Jason, Michelle, Stephanie, Nathan,                                          and Adam; 25 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Margie Vice; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William F. Armstrong; a granddaughter, Christina Althouse; and a daughter-in-law, Robin Althouse.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Casey Lloyd Chapel, 2901 S. Washington St, Marion, with the Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
