BOURBON – Dorothy L. Enders, 91, formerly of Bourbon, passed away May 3, 2015, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born April 6, 1924, in Bremen, to Oliver and Ethel Middaugh Vollmer. On Dec. 23, 1944, in Bremen, in the Lutheran parsonage, by the Rev. E.G. Dobelstein, she married Virgil D. Enders, who passed away Oct. 4, 2013.
She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing euchre and hunting mushrooms. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Bremen.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda (and spouse Tom) Heisler, Bourbon; two sons; Loren (and spouse Debbie) Enders, Brownsburg, and Gary (and spouse Cheryl) Enders, Logansport; nine grandchildren: Troy (and spouse Brenda) Heisler, Kim (and spouse Jeff) Wanemacher, Jerrod (and spouse Lovisa), Jason (and spouse Sarah), Kevin, Brian and Daniel Enders; Angela (and spouse Chris) Deatline; Lindsay (and spouse Preston) Triplett; and 11 great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were her parents; and five sisters: Viola Lynch, Frieda Enders, Elsie Bollenbacher, Helen Hesch and Mary Lou Kyle.
A celebration of life will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 605 S. Center St. Bremen, with Pastors Roger Rohde and the Rev. Neil Wonnacott officiating. Burial is in Bremen Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
