Dorothy L. Edwards, 84, of Leesburg, died at 4:20 p.m. Aug. 9, 2010, in Mason Health & Rehab, Warsaw.
She was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Uniontown, Ky., to Benjamin and Bertha Hendricks Carroll. In January 1952, in Lorraine, Ohio, she married Virgil Edwards, who died April 17, 2007.
Moving to Leesburg from Gary in 1967, she retired from Maple Leaf Farms in 1989, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Oswego.
Surviving are a son, Roger Carroll, Leesburg; a brother, Bill Carroll, Wabash; a sister, Edna (and spouse Jerome) Rosenberger, Benton, Ill.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Edwards; five sisters; and two brothers.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 18 at Leesburg Cemetery with Pastor Rick Smith officiating.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
