Dorothy K. FoltzMENTONE – Dorothy K. Foltz, 82, of rural Bourbon, passed at 11:37 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at her residence.
Dorothy was born on July 11, 1939, in Mentone, to the late Chester E. and Etta S. Tucker Christian. She was married on Dec. 15, 1962, in the Mentone United Methodist Church to Robert M. Foltz; he survives.
She was a 1957 graduate of Mentone High School. In earlier years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Farmers State Bank. Dorothy was a homemaker and a farm managing partner alongside her husband. Farming and her family was her life. She was a former member of the Merry Mollies. She enjoyed gardening and tending to flowers. The example she set in her life helped raise a wonderful family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Foltz, of Bourbon; daughter, Lora and husband David Swanson, of Bourbon; son, Steve and wife Paula Foltz, of Etna Green; grandchildren: Kyle Foltz and Cole and wife Laura Foltz; great-grandchildren: Chett, Memphis, Sadie and a little boy on the way.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.
Following her wishes, a private service and interment will take place in the Harrison Center (Wooden) Cemetery of Etna Green.
The arrangements have been entrusted to King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone.
