Dorothy I. Lowry, 91, of 4906 W. CR 500N, Warsaw, died at 2:15 a.m. June 18, 2007, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Nov. 9, 1915, in Clunette, to Loy and Edith Fawley Harman. On Dec. 13, 1941, in Clunette, she married Garland "Slim" Lowry, who died Sept. 7, 1975.
A lifetime Clunette resident, she was a waitress and a homemaker. She was a member of Clunette United Methodist Church; a past matron and a 50-year member of Leesburg Order of the Eastern Star; and a charter member of Club 55 Home Economics Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Lana) Drake, Warsaw; a son, Dennis "Nub" Lowry (and fiance Mary Bice), Warsaw; two grandchildren, Mrs. Doug (Crystal) Busch, Bolingbrook, Ill., and Karen Drake, Warsaw; and two great-grandchildren, Claire and Jack Busch, Bolingbrook.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Mike Beezley officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Clunette.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
