COLUMBIA CITY - Dorma Jean "Jeannie" Hull, 87, of Columbia City, died at 2:45 p.m. June 20, 2008, in Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake. On Sept. 8, 1940, in Pierceton, she married Keith A. Hull, who died Dec. 19, 1992.
She was born May 23, 1921, in Noble County, to Fred and Ruth Wineland Stump.
She was a 1939 Wolf Lake High School graduate. She lived in California for a year; Auburn; New Buffalo, Mich.; Wisconsin for seven years; LaPorte for 20 years; and in 1997, returned to Columbia City. She worked in a local factory and was a member of VIM of American Legion, Illinois, and Moose Lodge, North Manchester.
Surviving are her children, Larry Lee (and spouse Barbara) Hull, Warsaw; Richard D. (and spouse Norma) Hull, Garrett; Paul Hull, West Cavena, Calif.; Harry A. (and spouse Sandy) Hull, New Buffalo; Ronald D. (and spouse Mary) Hull, Columbia City; Max McKinley, Butler; Peggy (and spouse Charles) Dorwick, Milan; and Nancy Hull; 31 foster children; 28 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dick Stump, Fort Wayne; and four sisters, Wanda Murphy, Churubusco; Carol June Hinton, Roanoke; Bonnie Jo Blair, Fort Wayne; and Brenda Rock, Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two sons and a sister.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Chaplain Glenn Byers officiating. Burial was in Stough Cemetery, Columbia City.
