Dorlan E. WagnerNORTH MANCHESTER – Dorlan E. Wagner, 98, North Manchester, died Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
He was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Wabash County, to Hobart and Thelma Yoder Wagner.
In 1943, Dorlan joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Bailey Navy Destroyer 14th Fleet during World War II. After serving three years in the Navy, Dorlan was honorably discharged.
Dorlan married Ethel Marie Koch in Urbana on Aug. 10, 1947. Ethel died on Nov. 24, 2001. He married Ruth Yentes Oldfather on Sept. 7, 2002. Ruth died Nov. 15, 2019.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
The family of Dorlan E. Wagner has entrusted McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with final arrangements.
