Dorla Jane Miller, 76, Indianapolis and formerly of Etna Green and Warsaw, passed away at 8:40 a.m. Oct. 4, 2014, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Etna Green, to Paul M. and Eva Marie Miller Waggoner.
She was a graduate of Etna Green High School. She also graduated from Elkhart University and Ivy Tech, receiving her degrees in lab technology and an associate degree in accounting. She was retired.
She attended Eagle Creek Grace Brethren Church, and when she lived in Warsaw she attended Warsaw Community Church. She loved crafts of all kinds and reading. She also loved her pets, Molly, the cat, and her dogs Barney and Noah.
Surviving are four children: Diane Marie (and spouse Kevin) Miller Ryan, Indianapolis; Pamela Miller Vetor, Temple, Texas; James Russell (and spouse Karen) Miller, Fort Wayne; and David Paul (and spouse Penny) Miller, Warsaw; two brothers, Donald Marion Waggoner, Etna Green, and Larry Paul (and spouse Pearl) Waggoner, North East, Md.; four grandchildren: Jason Vetor, Temple; J.D. and Aly Miller, Warsaw; and Autumn Miller, Fort Wayne; two stepgrandchildren, Terri Neumann and Amber Afarion, both of Fort Wayne; two great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ronald Edwin Waggoner; and her sister, Judith Waggoner.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Burial is in Etna Green Cemetery.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
