Doris V. Smith, 82, of Warsaw, died Oct. 19, 2008, in Mason Health And Rehab, Warsaw.
She was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Indianapolis, to Edward and Marie Mueller Bigelow. On June 14, 1943, in Crawfordsville, she married Wayne L. Smith, who survives.
Moving to Warsaw from Muncie in 1970, she was a homemaker and a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Also surviving are two daughters, Susan Cummings and Carolyn Sudlow, both of Warsaw; six grandchildren: Dawn Fritsch, Amy Jackson, Rich and Amanda Sudlow, Candice Lobo and Carrie McGuire; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard (and spouse Joan) Bigelow, North Port, Fla. She was preceded in death by two sons, William L. Smith, who died Jan. 22, 2005, and an infant son, Michael Smith; an infant daughter, Judith Smith; a sister; and a two brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Revs. Dennis Bollenbacker and Ron Horgan officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
