Doris Maxine Stickler Groninger

MIDLAND, Mich. – Doris Maxine Stickler Groninger, 87, of Midland, passed away March 19, 2013, at Brittany Manor. She was born April 6, 1925, in Warsaw, to Joseph Edward and Treva Borket Stickler. On July 28, 1946, she married Walter Eugene Groninger Jr., who survives. A longtime Warsaw resident, she was a Mentone High School graduate and was a beauty culturist and worked in Portland and Warsaw. They moved to Midland in August 2004. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, and of the United Methodist Women, Ruth Circle, Kosciusko County Auxiliary, Grand Matron of the Rebecca Lodge of Warsaw and Red Hats of Warsaw and Midland. She was also president of a book club for many years in Warsaw. Also surviving are two sons, Gregory Duane (and spouse Carol) Groninger, Midland, and Bruce Alan Groninger, Ottawa, Kan.; two grandsons, Edward (and spouse Anita) Groninger and Tim Groninger; two great- grandsons, Riley and Lane Bradley; and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Victoria Groninger.
