Doris M. Hackworth, 80, of 3825 W. Old 30, Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly at 9:10 p.m. April 12, 2012, in her residence.
She was born April 29, 1931, in Warsaw, to Raymond Stahly and Edna G. Moore Julian. On Dec. 11, 1948, she married Jessie Hackworth, who died Dec. 9, 1991.
A lifetime area resident, she attended Warsaw High School. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Warsaw Church of The Nazarene; Kosciusko Co. Extension Homemakers Association, serving as president from 1991-92; and Club 55 Home Economics Club as past president.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy (and spouse The Rev. Michael) Curtis, Rantoul, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Frances Utter; a son, James Hackworth; three sisters; and a brother.
Services were at 10 a.m. today at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, with Pastor Bill Keen officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. ***** Memorials may be made to Warsaw Church of The Nazarene.
