NORTH MANCHESTER – Doris M. Frantz, 84, Warsaw, and formerly of Sidney, died peacefully in her sleep and went to be with her heavenly Father at 4:15 a.m. Feb. 25, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 4, 1930, in Bracken, to Allison A. and Amanda M. Walton Hill. On July 3, 1948, she married Russell Frantz Jr., who survives.
She was a homemaker and employed with Heckman Bindery for 25 years. She was an avid fan of high school and college sports. She was her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest fan and supporter.
She was a member of Packerton United Methodist Church, and she had a deep love for her family and the Lord.
Also surviving are two sons, Stan (and spouse Lynn) Frantz, South Whitley, and Neal (and spouse Connie) Frantz, Fremont; two daughters, Robin (and spouse Todd) Hughes, Pierceton, and Kelly (and spouse Mark) Lybarger, Warsaw; a sister, Opal Gray, Sidney; nine grandchildren: Adam, Alex, Alyson, Travis and Renee Frantz; Tanner and Emily Hughes; and Lance and Lindsay Lybarger. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Kim Frantz, died 1958, four brothers and one sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Packerton United Methodist Church, Packerton Road and CR 800S, with Pastor Bill Wood officiating. Burial is in Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
