ELKHART – Doris “Jean” Youngblood, 84, Leesburg, formerly of Elkhart, passed away Oct. 23, 2015, at her home. She was born March 24, 1931, in Bremen, to Remus and Mabel Felton Doering. On May 12, 1950, she married Jack L. Youngblood, who survives. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bristol and a former member of the Join Heirs Sunday School Class. Also surviving are three children, Karen McCall, Goldsboro, N.C., Steven (and spouse Suzanne) Youngblood, Elkhart and David (and spouse Kim) Youngblood, Greenfield; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two siblings, Joyce (and spouse David) Kruse, Sun City, Ariz., and Jack (and spouse Sally) Doering, Mishawaka; and a sister-in-law, Samantha Doering, Clairton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wayne Doering. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at North Webster Church of the Brethren, 7281 East CR 600N, North Webster, with the Rev. Gary Colby officiating. Calling will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home, Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
