SYRACUSE – Doris J. Amstutz, 93, of Leesburg, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, at Grace Village Retirement Community.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1927, in Goshen, to Ray and Eloise Niccum Frevert. She was married to James O. Amstutz, who preceded her in 1984.
Along with her husband, she managed several McDonald’s franchises. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego.
Doris is survived by her four sons: Don (Kathy) LeCount, of Leesburg; Richard (Michelle Polston) LeCount, of Cromwell; Glen (Jamie) LeCount, of Iowa; and Charles (Marilyn) LeCount, of Alabama; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; brother, John Frevert; and one sister, Cynthia Fry.
Along with her husband, she was preceded by one sister.
There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. at the MRE Cemetery in Berne.
