LAFONTAINE - Doris F. Overholt, 87, of Marion, died at 12:31 a.m. July 13, 2009, in her residence.
She was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Wabash, to Huston and Rosetta Slagal Schaaf. On June 21, 1940, she married Jacob M. Overholt, who died March 2, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters; a brother, Peter Schaaf, Leesburg; two sisters, including Barbara (and spouse Lewis) Fruit, Warsaw; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, four sisters and a grandchild.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Falls Cemetery, Wabash, with the Rev. Roger Moore officiating.
