NORTH MANCHESTER — Dora E. Moyer, 84, North Manchester, died at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 29, 2017, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born March 17, 1933, in Chester Township, Wabash County, to Andrew and Hattie Overlander Betten. She married Herbert Moyer on Oct. 30, 1952. He passed away July 6, 2015.
She was an LPN at Timbercrest Retirement Community for 18 years. She attended Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester.
She graduated in 1951 from Chester High School, North Manchester. She and her husband, Herbert, spent many winters in Ocala, Fla. She was an avid reader, enjoyed long walks and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Tanya) Moyer, North Manchester; two daughters, Diana (Brad) Lankford, Warsaw, and Judy Moyer-Schmitt, Ocala; two brothers, Clifford Betten, North Manchester, and Clarence Betten, North Manchester; two sisters, Marie Niccum, North Manchester, and Evelyn Clark, North Manchester; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; one brother, George Betten; and one sister, Bertha Kline.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate, and burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
