SYRACUSE – Donna Jean Emmons Rose, 83, of Leesburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Feb. 28, 2013. She was born April 30, 1930, in Indianapolis, to Vergil and Alta Jones Emmons. She met and married Robert J. “Bob” Rose in 1974, in Bremerton, Wash. They were together for 38 years. He preceded her in death. She was an active member of the American Legion Post 253 Ladies Auxiliary, North Webster, where she served as president from 1992-93. Surviving are her sons, Michael and Jeffrey Highley; three grandsons, Michael Highley Jr., Matthew Highley and Craig Williams; six great-grandchildren; and stepchildren, Sherry McCarthy, Michael Rose, Kenneth Rose and Ellen Beck and their families. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel at Oakwood Cemetery, 421 N. Maple Ave., Warsaw. Eastlund FUneral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
