SYRACUSE – Donna J. Trowbridge, 92, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Nashville, Ind., surrounded by family.  

She was born on Aug. 31, 1927, in Elkhart, to Larvy and Sadie Hickman Davis. On Sept. 18, 1952, she married Wesley Trowbridge, who preceded her in 1993 and was a devoted wife and mother.

She had several jobs over the years, most recently RR Donnelly in Warsaw. She loved music and playing piano. She enjoyed painting, crossword puzzles, bowling and especially enjoyed playing Bridge in tournaments locally.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Trowbridge Kelley, of Nashville, Ind.; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Trowbridge, of Bloomington; two grandsons: Alexander Kelley (Jessica Brocchini) and Nicholas Trowbridge; a great-grandson, Alasdair; one sister: Dora Herold, of Toledo, Ohio; and several beloved nieces and a nephew.  

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Matthew; two sisters: Lois McLauglin and Barbara VonBergen; one brother: Hubert Davis; beloved brothers-in-law, Fredrick, John and Ralph; and nephew, Jeffrey McLauglin.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30 at 3 p.m. at the Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse. Calling will be two hours prior from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial at the Syracuse cemetery will be private and celebration of life at later date.
