WABASH - Donna Berniece Anglin, 79, of Wabash, died at 7:05 a.m. Aug. 30, 2008, in her residence after an eight-month battle with lung cancer.
She was born March 3, 1929, in Mentone, to Lee R. and Lillie M. Mikesell Holloway. On Sept. 13, 1949, she married Robert L. Anglin, who survives.
After attending Rochester High School, she moved to South Bend, where she met her future husband, then to Wabash in 1952. She was a great wife, an excellent mother and a devoted grandmother. She worked with her husband in their accounting and tax business and were a vital force behind the success of the Wabash County United Fund during the 20 years they worked with the organization. In 1990, they were named the Distinguished Citizens at the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are five children: Ellen Elaine (and spouse James) Carrothers, Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; Jennifer Jane Hahn, Wabash; Philip Jay (and spouse Emily) Anglin, Richland, Mich.; Cathy L. Kunkel, Greybull, Wyo.; and Timothy D. Anglin, North Ogden, Utah; a daughter-in-law, Carol Anglin, Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren: Chad Carrothers, Bloomington; Lindsay (and spouse John) Jackson, Clarksville, Tenn.; Adam Hahn, Chicago, Ill.; Gretchen Hahn, Shana (and spouse Traves) Pepple and Brian Anglin, all of Fort Wayne; Miranda Hahn, Wabash; Stephanie and JD Kunkel, both of Greybull; and Grace and Rocco Anglin, both of Richland; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Holloway, Rochester; and two sisters, Lois A. (and spouse Clayr) Stones, Rochester, and Phyllis J. Duzan, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, with Guy Provance officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
