Donna Belle Brandenburg Heim

Posted
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – Donna Brandenburg Heim, 87, formerly of North Manchester, completed her journey on earth Jan. 14, 2013, after an eight-month challenge with cancer. She passed peacefully with her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter present.
She was born June 28, 1925, in North Manchester, to David and Edna Brandenburg. She was preceded in death by husbands Merle Frieden, North Manchester; Dale Lowman, Warsaw; Charles Heim, Warsaw; and companion John Eilts, Craig, Colo.
Years spent as the box office manager for the Wagon Wheel Playhouse in Warsaw were a highlight in her life. Perhaps her proudest accomplishment was working alongside her husband, Dale, to develop Woodfield Estates in Warsaw. She was never afraid to face a new adventure with gusto.
Mother had a charm, with and baby-blue eyes that captured the love of many as she traveled the rocky road of life for her 87 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Janice (and spouse Steve) Gadson, Flat Rock, N.C.; a granddaughter, Lisa (and spouse Doug) Harvey, Warsaw; three sisters: Mary M. (and spouse Joe) Piper, Montgomery, Ala.; Virginia Miller and Marcia (and spouse Jerry) Purdy, all of North Manchester; and several nieces and nephews who included her in their lives with much love. She also suffered the loss of three beloved sons, Michael Frieden, Lynn Alan Lowman and James Jeffrey Lowman. Though each loss stole a little more of a mother’s heart, she never failed to put on a smile and face life’s next challenges that came her way.
Services will be held on a future date in Warsaw. Until then, we thank family and friends who have supported us with their loving kindness on so many levels.
Jackson Funeral Service & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
