Donna B. Buckles, 97, of Mishawaka, died on Nov. 29, 2018.
The Mishawaka native was born on Oct. 18, 1921, to Almont and Beulah Shipley Wertenberger. She graduated from Mishawaka High School and married Clyde Buckles. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Donna worked as an X-ray technician during her working career and enjoyed all types of crafts – knitting/crocheting, sewing and ceramics.
She was a "handyman" and enjoyed leading crafts in the summer at Jellystone Campground in Pierceton. She is the last original landowner from Jellystone Campground.
Donna is survived by her children, Dennis (Anne) Buckles of Colorado and Debbie (Paul) McVey of Tippecanoe; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; grandson, Michael; two brothers; and one sister.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, with a service in Donna's honor beginning at 11 a.m., at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
