The community is encouraged to donate toys to help local parents struggling to purchase gifts their children. The public can bring good-quality used toys to the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds Dec. 10-13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Dec. 14 between 9 and 10 a.m. The public toy sale is Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Proceeds from the toy sale will be used to purchase toys. The toys will be given away at the Combined Community Services toy giveaway on Dec. 18 and 19. At the giveaway, volunteers will have the opportunity to provide those who receive gifts with a Bible. Bible donations also are being accepted. Other donations being accepted include children’s toys, books, games, puzzles, furniture, DVDs and videos. Items also being accepted include hats, boots, mittens and gloves.
