Next week, Warsaw individuals, families and groups are joining millions of people across the United States to fill empty shoeboxes with gifts for 9.8 million suffering children around the world. During Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week—Nov. 18–25—the collection site in the Warsaw area will be bustling with activity as 1,600 colorfully wrapped shoebox gifts are dropped off by residents. Hundreds of local volunteers will be working hard to pack and transport the boxes to the next stop on their journey to a child in need. A Collection Center opens Nov. 18–25 at Warsaw Church of God, 1059 Rozella Road, Warsaw. Operating Hours are Nov. 18 and 19 and 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. to noon, and 5 to 7 p.m.; Nov. 20 and 25, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Nov. 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Nov. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. To find the nearest drop-off site, call 1-800-567-8580 or visit samaritanspurse.org/occ
