SYRACUSE – Donald Weaver, 72, of Syracuse, died Sept. 1, 2011, in Northwestern Hospital, Chicago, Ill.
He was born Jan. 29, 1939, in Elkhart, to Lawrence and Esther Schlemmer Weaver. On Sept. 2, 1967, he married Diane VanderReyden, who survives.
He retired from NIPSCO in 1997 after 35 years as a utility service worker. He was a member of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, North Webster American Legion, Syracuse Veterans of Foreign Wars and Syracuse Eagles. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Also surviving are a son, Rick Weaver, Syracuse; two daughters, Cristi (and spouse Mark) Green, Huntington, and Jodi (and spouse Jason) Clay, Syracuse; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
