SYRACUSE - Donald Ray Burkholder, 55, of Syracuse, died at 10:57 p.m. March 9, 2010, in his residence.
He was born Nov. 14, 1954, in Goshen, to Nelson and Erma Straw Burkholder. On Oct. 31, 1997, in Warsaw, he married Deborah D. Peters Smith, who survives.
He worked in the mobile home industry in Kosciusko County for many years. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 1370, Syracuse, for more than 20 years, and a member of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel.
Also surviving are a son, Donald R. Burkholder II; two daughters, Brandy Lee (and spouse Judd) Metz, Goshen, and Robbilee D. (and spouse Waseen) Ansari, Canada; seven grandchildren; his father, Nelson Burkholder (and Patricia Waldron), New Paris; his mother, Erma Gross, Nappanee; and three sisters, Susie (and spouse Larry) Neff and Diane Fiscis, all of Goshen, and Beverly Yoder, Wakarusa.
Services will be at a later date at the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel.
Elkhart Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
