COLUMBIA CITY – Donald R. Worley, 74, South Whitley, passed away at 11:42 p.m. Feb. 15, 2014, in the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. He was born March 17, 1939, in Illinois, to Marion and Viola Andre Worley. On March 1, 1996, in Warsaw, he married Wanda Lee Brunner, who preceded him. He graduated from Atwood High School in 1957. He served in the United States Army for two years and 11 months. He worked at Dana Corporation in Syracuse for 17-1/2 years in the transmission department. He also was a self-employed dairy farmer. He was a member of Oak Grove Church of God. He enjoyed visiting friends at McDonald’s and also collected antique tractors. Surviving are a son, Christopher Worley, South Whitley; a daughter, Emily (and spouse Randy) Gaskill, Monroe; four grandchildren: Aaron, Brandon and Craig Gaskill, and Teri Jo Brunner; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; Virginia and Margaret, both of Kosciusko County. Also preceding him were his parents; one infant granddaughter, Sarah Pingry; four brothers; and two stepsons, Tim Boner and Scott Feighner. Services will be at noon Thursday at Oak Grove Church of God, Raber Road, Columbia City, with Pastor Stephen Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City, with graveside military rites conducted by Korean War Veteran Honor Guard.
