BOURBON – Donald L. Scott, 65, of Etna Green, passed away at 3:58 a.m. June 16, 2013, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Plymouth, to Edward and Edith Fear Scott. He joined the Armed Forces, serving in the U.S. Army from 1967-73. He attended Argos High School but received his GED while in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bourbon American Legion Post 424 and had worked in factories most of his life. Surviving are three sisters, Doris Hamman and Mary Jane (and spouse Doyne) Snider, all of Bourbon, and Martha Penn, South Bend; and 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward and Gerald. A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, with Pastor Stormy Scherer-Berry officiating. Burial will be in Summit Chapel Cemetery south of Bourbon, with military graveside services by members of Bourbon American Legion, of which he was a member.
