Donald L. Schue, 78, of Warsaw, went to be with his savior Jesus Christ at 1:28 a.m. Oct. 10, 2011,  in his residence.

He was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Warsaw, to William and Mary Jane Drabensott Schue. On Jan. 28, 1956, in Warsaw, he married Eileen Ruth Keppler, who survives.

A lifetime Warsaw resident, he retired as a coremaker at Warsaw Foundries after 37 years of service. He was a barber for Mug and Brush Barber Shop for 12 years and worked at Maple Avenue Florist for four years, retiring in 2007. He was member of First Brethren Church, Warsaw, and served his church as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1951-55 as QM-2 with the Coronado Landing Craft Squadron during the Korean War.

Also surviving are five daughters: Sherry (and  spouse Earl) Ward and Lisa (and spouse Mike) Monroe, all of Wabash; Holly (spouse Bruce) Johnson, Fort Wayne; Delana (and spouse Dr. Jamal) Janjua, Toledo, Ohio; and Donna (and spouse Frank) DiRico, Warsaw; a sister, Helen Shafer, Warsaw; a brother, Harold Schue, Warsaw; 12 grandchildren: Beau Hudson; Brett (and spouse Sarah) Hudson; Jennifer (and spouse Greg) Coyne; Blake Callie and Joey DiRico; Jeremy (and spouse Bridie) Monroe; Julie, Autumn and Laura Johnson; Pamela Schue; and Ruben Donald Holcomb; and five great-grandchildren: Davis, Jaxton Donald and Raelyn Coyne, Isabella DiRico and Beckett Monroe. He was preceded by his parents and two brothers, Benjamin and Paul Schue.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Bill Shipman officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by members of the American Legion Post 49, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126 and the Indiana ARNG.

Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
