NAPPANEE — Donald J. LeCount, 89, Nappanee, died at 5:07 p.m. Dec. 22, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa. He was born April 26, 1927, in Ligonier, to Donald D. and Jane Burkhart LeCount. His first wife, Doris Frevert Amstutz, survives in Leesburg; his second wife, Maxine Warren LeCount, is deceased. He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre, including Guam, and at Port Waniemi, Calif. Memorial services with military rites will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Pastors Harlan Steffen and Brad Cox from Wawasee Lakeside Chapel will officiate. Calling is one hour prior to the service. ***** Memorials to Family Christian Development Center, Nappanee.
