AKRON — Donald E. Kuhn, 91, rural Claypool, died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, at Peabody Retirement Community,North Manchester.
He was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Fulton County, to Willard and Mabel Hoffman Kuhn. On Sept. 2, 1968, in North Webster, he was married to Evelyn J. Ball; she survives.
Don was a cattle and grain farmer and a school bus driver. He drove for Tippecanoe Valley Schools for 21 years as well as the Cardinal Center. In previous years he had worked for the Kosciusko County Highway Department and the State Highway Department, where he served as foreman.
He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1945. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 576, Mentone.
Don attended Silver Creek Church of God. In years past he enjoyed singing in the Kuhn Trio and Friends Quartet.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Kuhn, Claypool; daughters, Pam (husband Darrel) Miller, Mentone, and Debra (husband Rodney) Clark, Akron; sons: David Kuhn (companion Shelly Bahney), Mentone; Gary (wife Marla) Kuhn, Etna Green; and Tim Kuhn (companion Laura Eber), Claypool; grandchildren: Amber Kuhn, Tiffany Cleaver, Dustin Kuhn, Kevin Miller, Brad Miller, Natalie Martindale, Heidi Wortley, Nathan Kuhn, Becky Clark and Kreg Kuhn; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Tona Huff, Burket; and a brother, Bernard Kuhn, Mentone.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Virgil Kuhn.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. Pastor Thomas Craig and Pastor Gary Loy will officiate, and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Hartzler Funeral Home.
