Donald E. ‘Don’ Minear

NORTH WEBSTER – Donald E. "Don" Minear, 60, of North Webster, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.

He was born on Nov. 16, 1958, in Columbia City, to Franklin “Hal” and Peggy Rhodes Minear. He was a lifetime North Webster area resident and graduated in 1977 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse.

He was married on April 5, 1980, in North Webster, to Debra K. “Deb” Clayton, who survives.

He was formerly employed at Lyall Electric and was the manager for Crystal Flash, both in North Webster.

He was a member of the Country Bible Church in North Webster, where he served on the Mission of Love Foundation.

He is survived by his wife, Deb Minear of North Webster; two sons, Andy Minear and Luke (Sara) Minear, both of North Webster; two grandchildren, Dylan and Payton Minear; his parents, Hal and Peggy Minear of North Webster; a sister, Susan (John) Shock of Syracuse; and a brother, Mark Minear of Leesburg.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pam Minear.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in the funeral home, with Pastor Myron Drent officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
