Don S. ‘Steve’ DavisSYRACUSE – Don S. “Steve” Davis, 81, of Warsaw, and formerly of Syracuse, passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at Grace Village Healthcare in Winona Lake.

He was born on Sept. 27, 1939, in Syracuse, to Donald and Emogene Eby Davis.

He graduated in 1958 from Syracuse High School and was married on April 23, 1961, in New Paris, to Marlene M. Kirkdorffer, who survives. He retired from RR Donnelley in Warsaw after 30-plus years and formerly worked at Penn Controls in Goshen and Weatherhead in Syracuse. He lived most of his life in the Syracuse area and lived in Sebring, Fla., for five years before moving to Warsaw in 2018. He formerly attended the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel in Syracuse and the Independent Baptist Church in Sebring, Fla.

He is survived by wife, Marlene Davis, of Warsaw; daughter, Tonda (Jay) Kaiser, of Milford; son, Todd (Katrina) Davis, of Warsaw; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2 in the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Private family burial will be in the Milford Cemetery.

Masks and social distancing are encouraged by the family and funeral home staff. No food is permitted in the funeral home at this time.
