George and Norma Dome, Sidney, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary April 24, 2013. George and the former Norma Heeter were married at Sidney Christian Church by the Rev. O.V. Rector April 24, 1943. George is a World War II veteran, having served in the Pacific. He is a retired farmer and formerly worked for Carey Construction Co. Norma was an assistant librarian at South Whitley Schools and is a homemaker. They are the parents of John (and spouse Shirley) Dome, Sidney; Ruth Ann Dome, Hyden, Ky.; Tom (and spouse Nancy) Dome, South Whitley; and Nancy (and spouse Dennis) Patton, Franklin; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. They would enjoy receiving cards and visits from neighbors and friends. A family dinner will celebrate the occasion.
