Sharpen your aim.

It's dodgeball time again!

The fourth annual Corporate Dodgeball Tournament for United Way is at Lakeview Middle School Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The Bowen Center is sponsoring the event again this year. It kicks off the United Way Fund Drive for 2008.

Sixteen teams will relieve some stress while playing dodgeball and raising funds for the community.

The tournament is open to the public. Admission for spectators 11 years old and older is $2. Kids 10 and under are free. All proceeds from the tournament benefit the United Way of Kosciusko County and the 54 programs the United Way supports.

United Way Pacesetter companies start their company campaigns after this kick-off event. The four Pacesetter teams will start out the night by competing against each other. The teams are Farmers State Bank, Rohm & Haas, Miller's Merry Manor's staff and Wal-Mart.

Following the Pacesetters, old rivals from earlier dodgeball tournaments will square off. The city of Warsaw will take on the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, and Chore Time will take on Brock.

Teams all will be divided into two brackets of eight teams, including: Baker Youth Club, Zimmer, Lake City Bank, Mutual Bank, Paragon Medical, Medtronic Spinal & Biologics, Silveus Insurance and Kosciusko County REMC.

Awards will be given for the best team costume, the largest cheering section for a company or group, the biggest throw award and the biggest hit award.

Goodies will be given away throughout the night. During intermission, kids will be able to play games for prizes.

WRSW's Jim Brennan will be on location to give his color commentary during the evening.

Sanctioned officials have been brought in from other locations to rule over the competition this year. There will be strict line watching and loud calls.
