In response to unusually high water levels in lakes in Kosciusko County, the Department of Natural Resources has ordered that no motorized watercraft be operated above idle speed on the following lakes:
Tippecanoe Lake, Oswego Lake, James Lake, Big Barbee Lake, Little Barbee Lake, Irish Lake, Kuhn Lake and Sechrist Lake,
The executive order was signed Friday by Indiana Department of Natural Resources Director, Robert E. Carter.
The order is effective immediately and will continue until the threat of high water has passed and the order is lifted.
Persons with interests on these lakes are asked to monitor local media outlets for the current status of lakes in their area.
