Dixon Files For Advisory Board OpeningWith less than a week to go, one person has filed candidacy paperwork to run for the Turkey Creek Township Trustee Advisory Board.
William A. Dixon, of Syracuse, has applied for the position, according to Mike Ragan, chairman of the Kosciusko County Republican Party.
The seat became open after Sylvia Gargett resigned.
A Republican caucus will be held Aug. 9 to fill the seat.
Candidates have until 6 .m. Monday to file for the position.
Candidates must be a resident of Turkey Creek Township, a Republican in good standing with no history that would include a felony conviction.
Forms are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 North Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with Ragan.
